This book is completely different from what I expect to find in most books on QuickBooks. It assumes I have a basic level of understanding about how to use the software. Instead of showing me how to establish a new customer or how to make an assembly build pending, it focuses on getting information like working capital and cash flow analysis from the data I’ve already put into a QuickBooks file. It shows how to export data from QuickBooks into other applications, so that I can use Excel pivot tables to analyze my sales by product and territory. There’s even a section on the QuickBooks software development kit that shows how to bypass reports and get data out of QuickBooks directly. And it’s readable.
