What Free Small Business Accounting Program Would Be Best, Untill I Can Afford Quickbooks?

My husband formed a partnership. A subcontracting timber falling business. Until I can afford QuickBooks in a few weeks, what would be the best accounting software that I could download off the net for FREE?? Thanks So much!

What Type Of Small Business Software Would You Recommend To Correspond With Contacts And Addresses?

I’m self-imployed and have a piano tuning business started, but I need some business software. The only two things I have are Quicken 2004 and Quickbooks Simplestart (not the full version). Would either of these help me maintain a list of about 500 contacts to email, send mail, print out labels, etc??
What would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated.
